Hi there - needing some guidance:

We submitted the response to our RFE and got notice they received in on July 10th (so 101 days ago). My husband received his EAD/AP on August 28th but we've heard nothing about AOS - the case status just says "RFE received on...". I've seen people who filed when we did (May) get approved for GCs after having RFEs as well.

Should we submit a service request? Or just wait it out? Trying to gauge what to do - just like everyone else, we're at the point where we want to be done with it, at least for a little while lol

Thanks so much!

And I see I've put it in the wrong forum since our AOS is marriage based - Mods, please move it to where it belongs! Sorry!!! :)

Did the folks you mentioned go thru the New York City office? Once the application is processed the timeline switches to the field office timeline. I know here in Portland it is taking 6 months to get an interview.

Yeah, there was at least one case I can recall off the top of my head in NYC.

I sent my packages on 4/28 and they received my rfe on 7/10. We have very similar timeline..I'm a little frustrated but still nothing. I put in the service request but all they say is to just wait.

You can try to submit a service request, but my guess is that the system won't accept it since your case is by no means "outside of normal processing times" according to the NYC current status. There always are lucky applicants whose cases get adjudicated earlier than the listed timeline, but you are better off going about your life (which, thankfully, the AP and EAD allow us all to do) rather than obsessing about dates you have no control over.
