I'm traveling to Manila in 2 days and I just found out that my passport validity is a few days short of 6 months. Will I be denied of entry even if I'm staying only few days for K1 visa interview and has return ticket? I wonder if anyone travelled to Manila with less than 6 months of passport validity.

I have no time to renew as I'll be flying out on Sunday :(

It is possible you will denied travel by the airlines, or immigration on entry (possible). Hopefully they won't take their shoes off and count off the actual 6 months to the day.

No, you will be fine. My asawa and I travled to Pinas in June and her passport expires at the end of this month. Everything was fine so don't worry.

Your asawa is a citizen of the Philippines, traveling back to the Philippines, the 6 months requirement doesn't apply as she has legal status to stay. Plus she has legal residency status in the USA.

thanks hank.

I was at the Chicago airport Cathay Pacific ticketing counter few hours ago. Their system still thinks my passport will be expired and this inexperienced staff didn't understand why after she checked my passport. Sure it shows Apr 2016 lol she then manually override the system and gave me the boarding pass even before I had a chance to show them the printouts I have prepared.

That is like I thought, the airline would be the rock in the road, glad they didn't give you an issue.

You just never know when you will run into a "smart" counter agent. But, now you can save the evidence and use another time.
