How do I track my Greencard/SSN and how long does it take?

Sorry if this is a FAQ question, but I'm having a hard time finding where I can track my greencard? (Like a shipment number) Will I be notified via email once it's been sent out?

Also how long does it roughly take to get both my greencard and SSN number?

Also what do I have to do in able to get them to issue me a SSN? I remember marking off I wanted one on my DS260 but that's it. Is there a number I call, does it come with my greencard?

Thanks so much! Eager to get working, that's all as we really need me making money too. Living on one income is difficult.

I just entered the US on the 7th if that helps at all.

You should receive your SS card before your green card. My wife receive hers in about 10 days. Some have taken longer. If you have not receive it in a recent amount of time you can go to the local SS office.

You can track your green card on the ELiS site when it is issue it will give you tracking number that you can use to track delivery from the USPS. It took about 5 weeks for my wife GC to arrive

You should not have to call any number

Congratalations welcome to the USA
