I have a concern about the requirements on the K-1 visa interview, I am from the Philippines and got divorced in the US with my ex-wife (we got married here in the philippines and I haven't been to America). Now I am processing my divorce decree here in the Philippines but it's taking a long time to be finished, My Fiance already applied for my petition and we are about to set an interview at the manila embassy. Now is my Divorce decree enough for the requirements? or do I still need to get a CENOMAR? I am just afraid that my documents for the approval of my divorce won't be finished in time. The Manila embassy website only stated that a divorce decree are one of the requirements. Please help if you have the same situation as me. Thank you

You'll need the marriage contract with the annotated divorce for the interview along with an updated CENOMAR.

My divorce decree will be finished at the end of October, and I am aware that I need to send them to the Civil regestrar but do you know the timeline of that process until I get the Cenomar?

Timeline from Civil registrar to PSA till you get the Annotated MC would be 2 1/2 - 3 months.

You divorce decree from the USA is adequate for the embassy, you do NOT need the annotated CEMAR for the interview, but you will need a new (within 6 months) CENOMAR/CEMAR .. no matter how it shows your martial status, just make sure to have it or expect delays.

The annotated NSO CEMAR is for the Philippines records, not needed for the embassy visa process, in your case as you have a divorce decree already.

Your USC wife initiated the divorce in the USA? You can get your NSO CEMAR annotated to show the divorce, just have to follow the process - which you are currently doing, but don't stress if it isn't done for the interview.

 NO HE DOESN'T! He has a divorce decree from divorcing his ex wife, that is all that is needed for the embassy, he will need a current CENOMAR/CEMAR but it doesn't matter if it has been notated or not, THAT is strictly for keep the Philippines government NSO/PSA happy, annotated CEMAR absolutely not needed for the embassy.

1. You will need your Marriage Certificate / Form No. 5 Advisory on Marriages / CEMAR for your Embassy interview. It does not have to be annotated.

2. You very likely will need the annotated version for your CFO seminar.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Some applicants are asked for it, and some are not, so it's wise to have it with you.

Yes they do need a CENOMAR. CENOMAR is a required document no matter where you are married.
