bringing my mom and stepdad after citizenship

hello to everyone, I was planning to bring my mom and my step dad next year if they still want to visit me here.. I have a question in my citizenship interview they ask if my mom got married before my 18, for what i know my mom got married when I was in my 20s because they do it secretly, so I told them No,then I find out to my sister they got married when i was below 18, now i wonder if i can still petition my stepdad? your reply is so much appreciated!

You need to look at a copy of their marriage certificate to be absolutely certain what the actual date is.

If the married after you were 18 you can't petition your step father.

Thanks for the reply,I found out they got married when I was 8 years old, but in my interview I was ask if parents was married before 18 I said no, so I wonder if I will have a problem with that...i didn't know it because they kept it secret and I just notice the ring when I was in my 20s
