Finally see some update on my case! As of today it says that they are ready to schedule an interview on my adjustment of status application. Filed last Oct 8 got NOA for oct 13, received 2 different RFE last Dec and Jan for joint sponsor. I'm very happy that I'm getting closer to be done with these whole processing and be back to my normal life again ?

My USCIS was updated on 1/29 saying approved, but still no card mailed?! How long has it been taking people. I thought most of you were receiving within a week!

Oh wow... Ive been checking pretty much every hour to see. I got the approval notice in the mail yesterday. It's not really a 'big deal' but I really would love to actually have it in my possession!!!

Got my AP hard copy today but not the EAD. My AP was processed in NBC and my EAD in California Service Center. Is it normal? Anyone with the same situation or any VJ Elite member that can enlighten me? Thank you.

Maybe my questions might stupid but I was talking with my husband and I had some doubts....

1-Once you have the green card do you still have to ask for AP if you want to leave the USA?

2-same for EAD..do you have to reapply once it expires or now I am good to go ?

ps:I still haven't got anything in the mail..just the approval on the website on Feb 2.

No the green card trumps both. The EAD/AP application is done so that you can work or take a short trip out of the US while your GC is pending without having deemed abandoning your residency. So once your GC is in your hand you need not worry about asking for AP or revalidating your EAD. The GC allows you to work in the US.
