Still waiting. It has new been more than 5 weeks since I sent in my RFE.

I can't wait for this to be all over.

Hows everyone who is waiting doing? I put in a request to my congressman and they have told me its waiting on the background check. Wonder is it the same for anyone else who is still waiting?

My NOA was 30th Oct. I went to local USCIS to get extension stemp and they told me that my application has been approved 2 days back. They gave me stamp so it will be useful before card arrives. Online status hasn't been updated yet or I haven't got a letter of approval but under the extension stemp, officer wrote approval date and then stamped extension. So things are back to moving at VSC.

NoA: 30th Oct, VSC, No Ref.

Any updates on the people waiting for a response to their RFE's? I guess they will take the entire 6 weeks to give an update :(

Hey,

We filled back on 10/20/2015 (NOA 10/22/2015). We still haven't heard anything. No RFE. Nothing. At this point is it unlikely that we would get an RFE?

How soon/late do people get RFEs? I applied in July, IF I was to get one would I expect one in May/June or more like July (Date of application)/August?

People get RFEs at the same time other people get approvals, it's when the officer reviews your case. So RFEs don't come earlier.

Geez, that's stressful. I'm definitely worried about our case. We don't own a car so no loan/car insurance/etc. We also don't own a home and don't have any major loans at all. We do have renters insurance/shared lease but all the utilities are in my name since my spouse has terrible, terrible, terrible, credit.

We had health insurance together 2 years ago, but was laid off and haven't had insurance together since (neither of our jobs offered and marketplace was unaffordable), BUT we are actually getting insurance tonight and looking over plans together as we speak.

My spouse also has some identity theft issues at the beginning of our marriage, and when I went to Bank of America to add her to my bank account, BOA actually advised against it saying my account could be frozen since hers was being checked out so we never added her to my account (but she is a beneficiary and we sent them evidence) and when all her issues got cleared up she just added me to her bank account.

We also didn't have a proper wedding, we did a court house thing since we wanted to get married in NYC and no one in her family wanted to come/could afford to/could get days off/etc.

That makes sense. This is so frustrating... 14 months next Tuesday.
