I'm sitting back watching all these December fillers get approvals. I'm not gonna lie - I am getting jealous!

The more December approvals that I see, the more I start to wonder. I feel really stupid being this way, but when I see someone who sent there application in weeks after mine - I wonder why - I think 'is our petition one that is stuck in a pile of someone who's on sick leave?' That would be the typical luck for both of us! I know that there are so many other people in this situation - but wouldnt this whole process be alot less stressful and worrying if CSC actually processed applications in the order that they are received?????!!!!!

Ditto, it's bad enough that the vmt filers zoom pass you. But then when you see people at CSC who filed AFTER you progress, well.... :protest: . Hang in there, and good luck!

I wish we knew why vermont was so speedy.

I can't complain, I went through there but I mean for everyone who isn't going through there - It just doesn't seem fair.

Have I missed something? I thought I was looking at all of the NOA2s really carefully, but I might have missed something! The latest date I've seen a CSC december NOA2 is Dec 14th --which is hardly weeks after your NOA1. As you can see my NOA2 is Dec 18th so I'm really looking forward to our NOA2 as well, as I can just see it on the horizon!! That's why I have been looking and why I am curious if you have seen a NOA1 date after that time that has already received an NOA2.

On a good note, we were touched tonight! Hope it means the big deal!!

I'm sure your time will be really soon though!

I do agree though, seeing the bloody VCS filers from February with NOA2s already is very frustrating!!!! :(

A few weeks isn't bad. Believe me!!

Just imagine how you'd feel if CSC were approving K-1's filed 4-5 months after you filed yours. Actually approving k-1's in less time then they had my RFE which they sat on for 3 months!!

Processing them in the order they were received??? Now that would be too fair and make sense!!

It would be nice too if the Embassy would give some preference to your NOA1 date, but they don't give a ####### either!!

Almost 1 year waiting and still a couple more weeks til my fiancee's interview!!

Don't stress, yours isn't taking that long. It could be a lot worse.

Gonna try again.

Is Vermont really speedy? I was getting anxious because my understanding was that I might not get my visa until September and maybe even later, based on numbers from the USCIS website. I can't really complain though - I know of a couple where the bride was from India and it was a year and a half before she was allowed to enter the U.S.! And I'm sure a lot of you here had to wait a lot longer than 6 months!

Melytha, yes, you are one of the lucky ones going through Vermont. You should check the Immigration Timelines section of this website. The average time between NOA1 and NOA2 in VSC for the last 6 months was 44 days and for the last 3 months the average was only 32 days. You better start getting ready for the second leg of your K1 journey! ;)

44 days and 32 days?! Wow! That leaves me with another question... I have been planning to visit in the U.S. from mid-March to mid-May, but if it only takes 32 days then I might have to leave the U.S. earlier then mid-May for the interview, right? Am I understanding this correctly?

Well, I don't know when you filed your I-129F since you don't have a timeline or signature. The NOA2 isn't the end of the road, the case then goes to NVC (National Visa Center) and then over to the appropriate embassy. I don't know what the waiting times are for the interview in Canada, so I'm not much help here... Maybe try to ask around on the Canada forum or look at the Immigration Timelines section again - look for info about the embassy you will go to.

Well, I don't know when you filed your I-129F since you don't have a timeline or signature.
It hasn't been filed yet, which is part of the reason my timeline seems empty. My fiancé is waiting for my signed forms and letter of intent, which were mailed by Xpress post today. So hopefully he will be able to send the petition by the end of the week or by the middle of next week.

I know what you mean! Everytime I check that stupid case progress page I see the same horrible date: 12/9/2006. I'm really beinging to hate that date! Like I said, I know I shouldnt really be complaining, but everyday more approvals, and everyday there's nothing for us - no touch, no nothing .. it's very depressing.
