Hello,

We got our NOA-1 on 21st April 2015 and according to usual process it takes 5 months for NOA-2.

It's already over 5 months.

Can somebody help me?

Can somebody share their experience?

When usually NOA-2 should be expected?

I see your petition is at the Texas Service Center. Mine too since March 31,2015. Supposedly the Texas Service Center is a little behind right now. They say any where between 5-7 months for NOA2.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Mine too since March 18,2015 :crying::crying::crying:

But I was married 4 months before you guys, and it'll be a year before my wife and me get to be with each other.

NOA2 was quick, but NVC delayed us considerably to negate any quickness. CR-1 is a long process with spouses apart.

Im also waiting, at TSC..NOA1 date of 5/5/15. I called USCIS today (although 5 months have not passed) And they told me the wait is now 7 months?!?! Smh. According to the rep, they are working On cases received in February. How can this be accurate If Im seeing VJ users from March getting approved.

To add to the discussion I have been routinely checking hundreds of I-130 case numbers with NOA-1 dates ranging from Feb 2015 - June 2015. From a statistical standpoint it really doesn't seem like the Texas Service Center follows any type of pattern or timeline based on the information they make available to the public.

A case number looks like this:

SRC159035XXXX

The batch number in this case would be 35.

I have a large sample of I-130's from batches 21 - 35 and routinely check them. The only consistency I have found is when they get to about 60% finished with one batch another batch will begin to show approvals (it is sometimes more and sometimes less). So it seems that about 40% of the cases are slower than the other 60% within each batch. Please note that this is a very loose pattern that I have been able to observe. Statistically speaking it is not significant at all.

My wife and I had to file for a waiver before submitting the I-130. We have been waiting for almost a year. I feel your pain. No matter what I try I really can't figure out how the Texas Service Center chooses which cases get approved quickly and which ones do not.

Firstly thanks, this was really insightful.

Secondly my I-130 ticket is SRC159029XXXX

Can you tell me at present which batch is being processed?

Based on my checks the most active batch (or batch with highest marginal activity) right now is are between 29 and 34. They haven't started on 35 quite yet other than a few outliers (probably case expedites). The batches before that have a lower marginal approval rate.

I updated the first 1000 case numbers in batch 29 and found a total of 115 I-130s. Here are the stats.

Case Approved= 58.8%

Case Received = 25.4%

RFE = 14.9%

Rejected = .9%

I spot checked some of the approved cases and most of them were in the end of August or first part of September.

Also like I said before.. there really doesn't seem to be any concrete pattern to the case approvals so don't get your hopes up for anything to happen too quickly... Best of luck to you and hope you get some action on your case soon.

We seems to be much waiting for approval from the uscis. I and my wife filed on May 26 and we haven`t gotten the NOA2. The case is in Nebraska. All the centres are kinda slow. We have no choice than to exercise some little more patience and keep praying for the best. Best of luck to us all
