K-1 Timeline from USCIS approval to arrival at NVC

Hi all,

So our I-129F petition was approved at the California USCIS processing center on August 31st, and we got the notification saying that our case was being forwarded to the NVC. It has been over 2 weeks and the NVC won't say whether or not they have our case. My question is how long should this usually take? I don't see why it should take more than 10 days or so for the case to be sent from california to the NVC facility in new hampshire? Anybody have any info that can ease our minds a bit? My fiancé' is english and we are both king of sitting around without a clue about what the current progress is. Any help is appreciated.

The wait to get confirmation that your case has reached NVC can be a bit tormenting because in many cases its like you got NOA 1 & 2 relatively fast. Not to be worried yet though, two weeks is just around prime time for NVC to receive your case. It took around 3.5 weeks for our case to get to NVC and get a case #. As I said earlier, no need to worry yet, just keep on calling NVC every day until you get the news you want to hear!
