Hey!

Hoping for some help in this matter.

We are waiting for the interview at the embassy and we are working on filling in the affidavit of support.

Problem is that my fiance taxed $400 underneath the required level 2014.

Our NOA-2 expires jan 9.

On the M2 for 2015 he will make almost double the required level but we will not have time to get those papers before the NOA2 expires. Meaning we will have to use the 2014 papers.

Is the best way to just proceed with the interview, hope for the best and if they need more info just send the 2015 M2??

How would you guys do it.

Thank you

You list the current income amount, not what was made last year. You provide the 2014 tax return PLUS proof of current income, such as letter from employer and recent pay stubs.

So basically if we provide pay stubs from january -dec including the letter, the tax papers doesn't matter?

The tax return matters, especially if your consulate states in their instructions that it is required. They will look at the totality of your situation, but current income is most important. Why would you send pay stubs from last year, Jan - Dec? Send recent pay stubs. If your interview is in Oct., then take pay stubs for April-Sept. 2015. That would be your most recent 6 months of pay stubs. You add in a letter from your employer that states your current position and pay rate.
