Hello. I have all my paper work ready to send to USCIS for adjustment of status. All I need is my translated birth certificate. I live in a small city, and I can't find anyone to translate. The translators I found don't call me back. I don't know what else to do.

Has anyone tried the certified translator online? If yes, which one? I wonder if the USCIS accept them. They say they translate and send a pdf file, and then you just have to print. Would they accept the printed version. Also, can I just make copies of the translated document since I need three in case I get them to mail it to me? Or should I pay for 3 pages, so I can get the original one?

Please Help!!! I got married in March, and it is already September, and I haven't sent my papers because of that. Thank you!!!

I used rev.com for all translations for my K1 visa application.

If you get it notarized you get it in the e-mail after only a few days and an original copy in the mail a few days later.

You pay once for each document. You can make as many copies as you want. You only need one original.

For notarization you pay extra, I don't know how much it is now, back when I did it it was $20 on top of $20 for each document I had translated.

And yes I got it notarized back then for K1. I don't know if you need to do that for AOS. I did it for AOS only because I still had it from K1.. Read the Guides on VJ

I did my own translation and attached a letter certifying that the translation is correct and I am fluent in both languages. Nothing was notraized, and the copy I sent in was just a word document printed on my home computer. Many people on VJ have done this without a problem.

Hi,

If you know English and Portuguese, you can do your own translation. USCIS even has a translation block to help you. Google "USCIS translation block."

Best of luck
