paid green card fee online and still not landed in USA

Hello Guys,

Hope you all doing good.My question is that if someone paid green card fee online....before landing in USA.....still they would go ahead and produce the card and mail it to the address in USA ...............or its necessary to make landing at port of entry in order to start the production of the green card.

USCIS recommends that you pay the fee before arriving in the US, but you don't have to.

yes...got it....thanks....but if its paid before landing......would they start producing the card.....or its necessary to make landing at port of entry.....in order to start production of the card......

since you don't say which country you are in, can't really give complete answer as some countries require this to be paid before leaving

we had to pay before he left Morocco

green card process is started at POE along with SS number

when you are at POE, you will be asked "do you want us to apply for your SS card?" say yes, saves a lot of time in SS office

also sealed packet you receive has the physical address of where you have said you are going. that is address they will send Green card.

Its india.....so you mean...they wont start producing the card until landing is made at port of entry....my cousin who received immigrant visa...but doing his job in india.....he is just wondering if he pays his fee right now online....and keep doing his job.......instead waiting for 2-3 months in USA for green card after landing......better to do job here and when his brother in USA would received his green card then he would fly from here.

Card production isn't initiated until you PoE.
