has anybody been on the USCIS ELLIS website and have problems paying the $165 fee??? everytime I type in the information ( A- number and DOS case number) a notice keeps appearing that they cannot find my A-number and DOS case. how is that possible. site maybe down? I already contacted customer service through there and asked them about it so im just waiting for a response. just wanted to know if anybody had the same problem.

I just paid some minutes ago. There was no glitch whatsoever. What web browser are you using?

I also would like to suggest you the same thing. Try changing the browser. Most of these websites work well with Explorer.

How many number is in your 'A' number for mine I had to put a '0' after the 'A' but before the first number. My 'A' number is eight digits.

 

My Journey

Priority Date: July 24, 2007 (EAC)

AOS fee paid: February 2013

Request embassy change: May 2013

Son born: September 2013 (added to petition March 2014)

Interview: March 17, 2015 (Joint sponsor needed)

Joint sponsor documents submitted: April 27, 2015

Visas approved and issued: April 30, 2015. Had to return to embassy to do oath for son :)

Visa in hand: May 5, 2015 (two working days after issued)

IV fees paid: August 10, 2015

POE: JFK - September 10, 2015 (one day before visa expiry date - No hassle)

Returned to Barbados: September 28, 2015

Green cards: October 5, 2015 :dancing:

Entered US permanently: March 22, 2016

Applied for SSNs: March 28, 2016 (didn't tick box on DS-260)

SSN received: April 4, 2016;

Learner's permit: April 7, 2016 (in NY you also have to do 5-hour class);

Driver's License: July 13, 2016 (on first try) :dancing:

Husband's Journey (F2A)

Married: September 2015

I-130 sent: October 8, 2015 (via USPS)

Priority date: October 9, 2015 (WAC)

Petition approved: March 8, 2016 (5 months to the date of receipt) :)

NVC Welcome Letter: May 13, 2016
AOS documents sent: August 8, 2016
Case complete: September 14, 2016 (the waiting continues:clock:).

Interview:  October 5, 2017 (Approved - Issued following day :))

Visa in hand:  October 12, 2017

POE:  October 13, 2017

I have a related question. The Elis website says if you paid the Elis fee before Aug. 31, you can no longer track the GC progress there and have to go to USCIS case status page. However, the case status page only gives the old "approved and sent to NVC" info in responce to the USCIS case number.

Other applications on ELIS also seem to be unavailable online.

I wonder if this is temporary.

Yes you need to add 0 before Green card number. your number will be like A 012 345 678. Total 9 numbers after A.

11/27/2013 - Priority Date

04/01/2015 - I-130 Approved

04/21/2015 - NVC received Case

04/29/2015 - DS261 filled

05/02/2015 - Case under CSPA review

06/04/2015 - Supervisor review Initiated-Wait 42 days

ok so I just figured it out!! my mom use to have an old A- number and I kept typing in that information not realizing that they gave her a new number. its actually on her passport the "registration number" below the IV case number. and boom there it was !! duh?? lol... so problem solved and made the payment just a minute ago... thank you very much to everybody that helped !! :) have a great day !
