Hi, my husband is the petitioner in par 13. If you are US citizen, complete the following

I marked X ( Parents) because he was born in France, but both his parents are US citizen and he has a birth certificate form the american Consulate reporting both abroad, he has SS, passport , he is a US citizen but then again the form says:

-----Parents. Have you obtained a certificate of citizenship in your own name?

---- Yes. Give certificate number, date and place of issuance. ------ NO

what should I mark? in the birth certificate there are 2 different small numbers and I understand that the birth certificate is not the same as citizenship certificate, do I mark NO?

help!!!!!

A certificate of citizenship, obtained by filing an N-600 with USCIS, is not the same thing as a birth certificate or a CRBA. The correct answer is "No".

So, he'll use a copy of his Certificate of Birth Abroad, as evidence of US Citizenship, or he can include a copy of all pages of his US Passport. Also, you do not answer, through parents. You answer "birth in the US". Sounds silly, but through parents means something else entirely. You can hand write CRBA next to the answer if you want.
