How long did/ does it take at the NVC stage?

I am trying to estimate an approximate realistic interview date so I can plan my work schedule around it and be able to present at the interview with my wife.

Can those of you who have been scheduled for an interview, please post how long it took from the moment you began your NVC process, ie. filled in the DS-261/ AOS fee? Please list your beneficiary's country too. thanks.

2- note that scheduling of interviews can be COMPLETELY wacky, I thought for sure I would have an interview in September, seems like it is going to be October

so try not to get TOO locked into a time when you think the interview will happen (I kinda did and it is just depressing)

Hey,

I sent in our package and USPS says it was delivered on sept 28, I don't see a scan date when I log in to ceac... where can I find our scan date?

the status on the website says N/A under both civil documents and financial documents-AOS.

Once your documents have been scanned, you'll receive an e-mail from NVC. They will mention the date they received your documents and this is your scan date.

Yeah, we thought I would have my visa and be moving over around mid-August at the latest. We've now been stuck at NVC for seven and a half months, 115 days or something at supervisor review. I submitted my DS-260 (the actual visa application) on May 1st and five months and 10 days later, it still hasn't been reviewed. Don't plan around how NVC works because there is no logic or reason to NVC. You can be there for three months or you could be there for a year or more...

In regards to be being present at the interview, well that depends on which country the interview you'll be in. Some US embassies require that the petitioner is present, others don't allow it at all. E.g. at the US embassy in Sweden, the petitioner is not allowed to accompany the applicant to the interview.

Hey, Sorry to hear about the delays. Must be really frustrating for you. Why did you have your medical done so early? without a case complete or interview schedule?

And what was your checklist for? I'm curious.
