Hi, Guys!

Does anyone know how long the oath ceremony will be in Oakland? Mine is scheduled to be on my son's first day of school. I'm torn between whether or not I should reschedule?

It could take a while to reschedule and stuff might happen before the next ceremony (ticket, etc) that you might have to report to uscis and that might cause further delay. I would suggest keeping the current appointment, i believe it's about 2.5 to 3 hours.

Depends on how many people are being put through and getting their citizenship that day - I would alot 2.5-3 hrs as indicated above. Mine was probably 2.5 hrs from the time they hurded us into a room and started the process of taking our green cards and having us sign final documents to the end of the ceremony which included about 50 people.

My daughters was closer to 3.5-4 hrs - her ceremony was big with 100+ people.

The one from my wife in NYC Federal Plaza took around 1 hour (around 100 people were there). Mine in some shitty Highschool took over 3 hours (also around 100 people) - total waste of time.
