Question about medical at St. Lukes

My fiancee is currently in Manila awaiting her visa interview on the 19th.She will be completing her medical however she is worried because she has a cough right now. Is this something for her to be concerned about? Should the medical and interview be postponed due to a risk of a 6 month delay?

Is she having any fever? Anyways, if she just has a simple cough and it shows up on the scan she's going to be given a tuberculin test to determine if it's just simple seasonal cough or if it's really tuberculosis. She's probably just going to be given some cough medicine if it's the latter.

A friend of mine had a slight fever and was feeling under the weather when she went to St. Lukes, the doctor just told her to rest for a couple more days to sort of "stabilize" her temperature. She still passed the exam because it really wasn't a cause for alarm. She had no contagious disease whatsoever.

To be safe though, maybe a couple of days of total bed rest and drinking lots of fluids might help.

No reason to delay the medical for a cough, it will not have an affect on the medical process. The cough will not cause any delay, the x-ray showing lung scarring would cause a delay...
