is this the NVC welcome letter? where are the instructions for E-filing AOS & IV packages?

I received this email from NVC. You can see the letter attached (i blocked out personal info).

I am wondering if this is the NVC welcome letter?

I don't see any specific instructions that gives me an option to e-mail AOS & IV packages (there is an email provided asknvc@state.gov, but I suspect this is not the right email).

Should I wait for another email/letter from NVC?

When you go to the website mentioned in the first paragraph, you can see how to pay the fees, and from there I think you get the option to choose about emailing documents.

No this is not welcome letter. The welcome letter clearly says at the top "NVC Welcome Letter" and contains " the national visa center received the immigrant visa petition you filed for ******************* from US Citizenship and Immigration Services. We will work with you to complete your relatives immigrant visa case and schedule their visa interview.

Steps

Step 1. Choose an agent

Step 2. Pay fees

And it continues

That's what your welcome letter should look like !!!!!!

From what I read on the attachment its a confirmation email for step 1 choose an agent , and your next step is step 2 pay fees .

I would advice you to mail your documents in rather than email, based from previous post I read document email to NVC takes a longer to review.

But doesn't that posted letter say "We have registered you as the agent" ?? seems like Step 1 is already done.

Submitted DS-261: 2015/07/05

Paid AOS fee: 2015/07/10

Paid IV fee: 2015/07/27

Submitted via email AOS and IV packets: 2015/07/27

Checklist: 2015/08/05 - for DS-260 was having website difficulties and didn't realise they would review our case in 11 days.

Submitted DS-260: 2015/08/07

Supervisor Review: 2015/09/14 - 38 days after submitted DS-260 and still waiting

Checklist/Email from Supervisor?: 2015/09/18 - for missing police certificate, even though we were suppose to submit directly to the Australian consulate. Emailed them as requested stating that info and called stating that info was told to wait another 30 days for them to respond?!?!?!?! :ranting: At least now I'm in direct email communication with a someone.

Case Complete!! - 2015/09/22 - 110 days

Did you email all the Aos and IV files together in one email?

Separate pdf file per document?

Separate PDF for each document and I did one email for AOS and one email for IV. Probably could have done them all in the same email but was trying to make sure I didn't leave any documents out and when I had 10+ attachments for the AOS, it was just easier to do 2 emails.

As long as the entire attachment is less than 5mb (this means 5000kb) you can do documents together. It's better to do the entire AOS together into a file and then all the IV documents in one file. So in theory you can use about 2-5 attachments per email before it won't go through depending on your email carrier (outlook vs gmail etc..)

My AOS was 6.5mb and so currently I would have had to separate it into two attachments within the same email, but my IV was only 1.5mb
