How many touches before approval?

How many touches do you typically get before getting NOA2. I got a touch yesterday but the status did not change.

Cant wait to see what happens today. Hope its not RFE.

Mine was touched feb 12 and 13 and we got the approve feb 12. Im sure noa2 will be next.. good luck!!

I have had 3 touches in 4 days but no NOA2 as of yet (or RFE)...

I don't think there is a definate answer, but looking around, it seems like 2...

Not that I can check online after it locked me out yesterday :(

February, 06: Sent I-129f package to the US to be routed to Vermont

February, 09: I-129f forwarded to Vermont USCIS from US Home

February, 12: I-129f arrives VSC :) Journey really starts!

February, 13: NOA1 Reciept date

February, 16: VSC Cashes the check

March, 09: NOA2 Email. yay!

March, 11: Touched... Probably for the last time at VSC :)

March, 14: NVC Recieved package

March, 15: NVC Sent package to London

March, 20: Package recieved in London

March, 28: Packet 3 recieved!

April, 2: Packet 3 Sent back to London

April, 10: Packet 3 recieved by London Embassy

April, 17: Packet 4 recieved

May, 1: Medical

May, 29: Interview! - APPROVED

June, 1: Visa in Hand

July 18: Fly back together POE

July, 24: Legally married!

July 27: Filed for AOS

July 30: AOS recieved in Chiacgo

August 24: NOA1 for EAD, AP and AOS

September 15: Real Marriage with friends and family

September 18: Biometrics

October 3: EAD card production ordered!

October 11: EAD card in hand!

October 15: Case forwarded to California!

Nov, 08: Card production ordered! AWESOME

Nov, 15: Green Card Recieved (even though it's yellow)! AWESOME

You can never tell. Don't worry too much about the touches... some people got approved without getting any. You will be fine :)

Dec 4th, 2006 NOA2 !!!!! Dang...that was fast.. thank you GOD....

Dec 12th, 2006 E-mail from NVC : Petition forwarded to US Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia

Dec 14th, 2006 E-mail from US Embassy in Jakarta : Packet 3

Jan 08th, 2007 Medical exam! --- Done! Dunno the result tho......... =/

Feb 06th, 2007 Sent packet 3 back to the Embassy with DHL!!!

Feb 15th, 2007 Packet 4 (By phone...)

Feb 22nd, 2007 Interview date!! - VISA APPROVED!!!!!

Apr 15th, 2007 POE : Detroit

May 04th, 2007 Barefoot wedding at Hutchinson Island, FL

May 09th, 2007 Applied for SSN

May 18th, 2007 SSN Received

June 9th, 2007 AOS + EAD paperwork sent

June 15th, 2007 NOA1 for AOS and EAD

June 18th, 2007 CHECKS CASHED (for both AOS and EAD)

July 10th, 2007 Biometrics Appt.

Aug 02nd, 2007 AOS transferred to CSC

Aug 22nd, 2007 EAD card production ordered!

Aug 29th, 2007 Greencard production ordered!!

Aug 31st, 2007 EAD card received

Sept 7th, 2007 2 Year Greencard received

June 24, 2009 I-751 sent (Priority Mail)

June 29, 2009 NOA 1

July 31, 2009 Biometrics

Oct 30, 2009 Card production ordered!!!

I doubt it, just be glad that your file is getting touched. When a file never gets touched it's more stressful.

Tonyeck...too funny...I got locked out yesterday as well.

Where in your account does it say the status? I only see on "My Portfolio" page the case number, last updated, and a couple more things, but nothing about the status. Is it on a different page?

Approval on 2.20

Letter print/mail 2.21

Boxed up to go to NVC 2.23

and yes anything is possible with the update or lack of thereof

I guess click the Case Number in your porfolio prior to Last Update and it will give you a page stating your status. Hope im right.

I just couldn't believe that it was still pending!

It won't change until you get the noa2.

2-26-2007 -Received letter (date-2-23-2007) from NVC -Case Number generated -PHP2007***-***

2-26-2007 -Petition received by US Embassy -PP, Cambodia

3-29-2007 -US Embassy sent Package 3

4-10-2007 -Received Package3 via Email

4-12-2007 -Package 3 return to embassy vi FedEx

4-17-2007 -Visited fiance in Phnom Penh

4-18-2007 -Package3 delivered and received by Embassy in Phnom Penh

4-26-2007 -Medical Appointment 7AM -one day process!

5-03-2007 -Received two completed Medical Package, one for the Embassy and one for POE

5-14-2007 -Return back to the states -home-

6-02-2007 -US Embassy contacted my fiance to pick up her Appointment Letter on June 15th.

6-04-2007 -Appointment for Interview July 5th 7AM.

7-05-2007 -Passed Interview!!!

7-13-2007 -Pick up approved Visa (3pm)

7-17-2007 -POE San Francisco

8-07-2007 -Civil Marriage

9-18-2007 -Filed AOS

9-24-2007 -Notice Date

10-01-2007 -Received NOA I-797C Letter

10-27-2007 -Received I-797C NOA Request for Applicant to appear for initial Interview

12-19-2007 - Interview Wednesday December 19, 2007 1pm...San Jose, CA

Removing Conditions

11/14/2009 Sent I-751 Package

11/18/2009 Check cashed

11/21/2009 NOA1 I-797C (Receipt Date:11/16/2009)

12/10/2009 NOA2 I-797C Biometric Appointment 12/24/2009 12PM
