We had to call. Rang this morning actually. They received it yesterday evening. I spoke to a nice lady who said it could take up to 4 weeks to get assigned a case number but usually a lot quicker than that and she told me to call back any time to see if there's been an update :)

It's just been a week for me, but I'll call daily. Unfortunately, I'm in a time crunch so extra stressed :(

The lady I spoke to said to call ad many times as I like as things can change fast and they may even end up assigning a case number today.

You were approved a week before me, so maybe time frame will be similar -- not sure if it is different time frames for your I-129f and my I-130 though.

How long does the Texas Service Center take usually to send approved cases to the NVC? Is there a way to make it happen quicker?

K1's ship and get out a lot different than IR1/CR1. Plan on 4 to 8 weeks.

No there is no way to get it there quicker. It is suggested after you get your NOA2 in two weeks start calling NVC and just keep calling at least once a week to inquire about your case#. That's all you can do.

Mine took 14 days; no way to make it faster.

Hey :)

Mine arrived June 8 and was on its way to Sydney by June 11. Quickest part of this process.

If you call and they haven't got it yet, don't believe when they say, 'try calling back in 30 days'. Haha its a lie. Try a few days later.

Once you have the number, go ahead and do your medical and DS160 to speed things up in the next bit.

Dont expect your NVC letter saying its been forwarded until after the whole process is finished. They're ridiculously slow.

kate43 - yours arrived at NVC on June 8 and went to the consulate by the 11th? I'm guessing the fiance visa really is that much different.
