You schedule your appointment online at the CFO website. You pay in person when you arrive. (medical or seminar) One has nothing to do with the other, complete CFO when you feel like it. With the new online appointment system at CFO it is just as easy to wait until you have your visa in your passport to attend, then it is a one day event.

If you have your MNL#, then schedule your interview. Then 7-10 days prior to your interview you can complete the medical and CFO can be done before your interview, but you have to return to have your CFO sticker applied to your visa. You simply register online here for CFO Manila: http://gcp-appointment.cfo.gov.ph/

You choose the day you want to do the seminar, and you pay when you go there. It doesn't matter when you do the seminar.

My wife chose to do the CFO early because we had a hard time getting an interview date. Only took us 3 weeks to schedule her interview. She also did the CFO before her medical exam.

After we picked up her visa, we just went back to CFO to get the sticker in her passport. No appointment was necessary, although we had to wait a long while.
