I-485 processing longer than usual?

Hello everyone,

hope you can help me with this question.

i filed my I-485 back in february and i am supposed to be waiting for them to schedule the interview with my partner and I.

I feel that it has taken a long time, am I still under the normal amount of time? is there a place I can call?

this is the last notice i got back in February.

As of February 24, 2015, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number ******, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Your local office is only now processing applications from September 2014, so yes you are still under normal processing times.

You will need patience if there is a backlog at your local office (like it seems there is). We waited 8 months to have our interview.

I don't know which visa you are adjusting to, but for K-1 visa holders who are adjusting and received Notice Potential Interview Waiver letter, your waiting time is nothing compared to us. I waited one year and 2 weeks before my I-485 is approved.

I might advised try to call USCIS local office to find what is going on with your case. I read some others who had their interview scheduled that waited about 4-6 months to had I-485 approved.
