Hi Guys,

I've got my bio done on the 4th of this month (June), for when should i expect the Uscis to get in contact with me?

Is the next step just receiving the GC?

Thank you!

It all depends on the service center. California is known to be pretty fast around 4 months on average and Vermont can be like purgatory taking almost a year in some cases. There's no magic time period though as it's all tied to the processing centers. Your next step will be either getting your welcome letter in the mail then green card or you might be selected for an interview.

4 months...?!? Holy moly!

I wasn't aware it could take so long... Well, I guess all I can do is wait anyways.

Thanks for the reply!

There is a lot of waiting...... I believe that there is more to it than just the service center, particularly when you consider the current "general meltdown" at USCIS. We were at CSC. Sent in the initial ROC package in Aug. 2014. My family did their Biometrics in September 2014, and then didn't hear a thing until the RFE in April 2015. We sent in the RFE response in May 2015, approved a week later (no interview)..... received the GCs in June 2015....about 9 -10 months for our case.

Review some monthly threads on this forum, for a realistic idea about ROC processing times.

YMMV.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
