I will definitely keep you posted and detail the interview process as it happens.

@Wodm - I checked the CEAC portal and no change as yet on the portal. I'll post if there are any change. Generally it takes one day after receiving the Interview Letter. So hopefully tomorrow the status will change.

Just wanted to post an interested fact for those that are not aware. You can actually physically track the shipment of your Case from the NVC to your local embassy. Credit goes to OP from this post:

I called Mumbai consulate today for next procedure. Their procedure changed a lot last year. Did you schedule biometric appointment and medical appoitment yet? And where are you from in India? Get me in touch with email so we can walk through the process together.

Sounds like a plan. You can schedule appoitment coz you don't need IL to schedule the appoitment. You need IL when you actually go for appoitment.

Yes I agree that you can schedule appointment ahead of time by signing up thorough ustraveldocs. For medical you must have an appointment letter. There are so many slots for biometrics for many days so if you wait for ILs then it will not be problem too. It only takes 10 minutes to do it. good luck for interview.

There are so many slots for biometrics for many days so if you wait for ILs then it will not be problem too. It only takes 10 minutes to do it. good luck for interview.

Thanks nilx25.....its true to schedule Appointment after getting the Interview Letter.....But for medicals we need to have the appointment letter...and atleast 10-15 days ahead of ur schedule date u should plan to complete ur medicals......
