If he was born in the USA include a copy of his birth certificate.

Wondering if you checked a wrong box somewhere. If he was born in U.S.A. you should only have needed to fill in his social security number in Part 3 and left A number blank. I would call them and let them know he was born here and ask them what you need to do.

Thanks.

1Q: I need to leave blank ?

2Q: Have to be passport and birth certificate notarized ?

Thanks.

Someone born in the USA or who has had a CRBA never has an Alien#.

No. Notary watches someone sign something. A photocopy front and back of the BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

It confused me also how an American born citizen will have an Alien No. When we filed for our ROC I left that box. I wonder why she got an RFE asking for husband's A no. Now I looked again at the form maybe I am wrong but the part 3 Information about the petitioning spouse Information about the US Citizen or an LPR, that's why there is a box for A no. is for LPR petitioner.

it could also just be a mistake on their part. if you put a social security number down I don't know why they would ask for an A number unless something on their end says he wasn't born here. I put my ss number down and left A number blank. I was born and raised here and didn't know what an A number was until I got married.
