Hi all,

I submitted the I-129F form back in December and received the first email a few weeks after saying that they had received the forms, which I am assuming is the first NOA.

I moved the first of this month and life has been a little hectic these past few weeks, I checked today the status of the case and I see the status has changed to

On June 3, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number SRC1*******, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing.

Can someone confirm or maybe a better question would be, how can I know if this is my NOA2?

I have not received anything on mail, since I recently moved. I changed my mailing address just today, I know I should have done it sooner.

If this is my NOA2 is there anything else besides the forms described in the below link?

Thanks for any help.. :)

Looks like it. My NOA2 said "we approved your petition..." but if they're sending it to NVC it's an Approval.

Congrats. If you moved make sure you get the hard copy NOA2. You will most likely need this for your interview.

That in itself is not an approval, you were approved and now they have sent your case to NVC where they will assign you a case number and then send it to your local embassy. Congrats!

Awsome!!! Thanks so much guys.

My question now is, do I start gathering all the Documents for NOA2? and is there anything else either me or my fiance needs to gather other than the documents mentioned here?

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Considering it's been 14 days since they sent your case out, your case has most likely been assigned a case number by the NVC. You can call them and ask for your case number at 603-334-0700. Now, NVC is always busy, so you just need to redial until you get someone to pick up. Once you have the case number, you can fill out the DS-160, schedule medical & interview and pay the visa fee.

You'll need i-134 with supporting evidence for the interview, evidence of ongoing relationship (how heavy loaded depends on the local embassy, if it's a high-fraud country or not), DS-160 confirmation page printed out, police records for the beneficiary and birth certificate. Depending on the wait times, I'd get started on the police records and birth certificate right away.

Good luck!

Thank you Sandra, for the valuable information.

I have started to gather all the documents needed, but I have tried contacting every day to find out the case number, but only the machine picks up all day long.

Is there any other way to contact them?? :clock:

Hi all,

I didn't know if I should start a new thread or continue here.

After weeks of trying to reach the NVC, I finally got through to them. The rep told me that my case had been sent to the embassy in my fiance's country and provide me with the case number. I asked my information be updated with my new mailing address and she said she had no further information and all my dealings are now to be with my fiance's embassy.

My fiance and I have started collecting the required documentation mentioned above.

My question is, what do I do now?

Wait for the NVC's confirmation letter?

Wait, for the embassy to contact either me or my fiance?

Contact the embassy to let them know about the change of address?

Start making the Dr. appointment?

All of the above?

Not sure what my next step should be, If anybody can provide any help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
