On May 19th, we got our NOA2 saying our case was being forwarded to the NVC. So far, I have received nothing in the mail from NVC with our Case #. I have tried phoning, - what a joke, I can only phone at night when I get home from work, and, I phone and keep hitting "redial" because it's the same message, "all our agents are busy serving other customers" please call back. Why the heck done they have a queue that a person can wait in, Seriously, is this the stone age coming back?? Then, I call, an ooops, times up, Cinderella's slipper has fallen off and the coach has turned in to a pumpkin because, low and behold, ladies and gents, it's midnight, and, now the message is, please call back during normal office hours. Really!! So, do I have to call them to get my Case #, and, how the heck do I give them my email addresses for them to contact us IF, I can never get through to them??!! What an cumbersome journey - oy!! How the heck will I ever get through on the phone? :clock:

Does someone have an answer for me?? Thank you.

As persistant as you think your calls have been, you need to be MORE persistent to get through to NVC on the phone. People suggest calling right when NVC opens or right before they close. Since you can only call at night, the only thing I can say is to keep trying. You will get through eventually, even if it takes you 100 redials.

Shanelle, I think it's taking about 60 days from NOA2 until a case number is assigned. Your case doesn't leave USCIS right away. You'll find out soon at EVERYTHING at NVC is 60 days from step to step.

As far as calling NVC goes, your redial button is your best friend. And...be prepared...once you get through the dialing process (I think 37 was my personal record for redialing), you can be on hold from 5 to 70 minutes. As someone said - first thing in the morning, or after about 7 at night are your best bets. And...they work on Eastern Time (currently Eastern Daylight Time), so plan that into the equation, too. You will get notification of your case number eventually, but I think you are a little too early for a case number yet.

Sorry - but it takes way too much time for this process. Our was one year plus 3 weeks from NOA1 to POE.
