I am a green card holder and filed a petition for my Singaporean husband. His priority date is February 2, 2015. I recently got an approval letter (April 2, 2015) but I havent got any mail from NVC. It's already June 5, 2015. I cant reach them by phone, I emailed them but no reply yet. Is this normal? I've heard it takes 2-4 weeks for NVC to mail you.

What should I do then? My husband is currently here working as software engineer and would go back to SG by August 2015.

Please help. Thanks!

You will need to wait for the priority date to become current. It will be approximately a two year wait.

further processing is determined by the monthly visa bulletin announcement,

in which you can READ which block of priority dates for that visa type have become 'current'.

when one's priority date is 'current', then nvc wakes up and Consular casefile Processing will begin.

Have you checked the monthly visa bulletin? prior month and current month? yes? no ? if no, why no ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
