Just got my biometrics receipt notice dated 6/19

And I am scheduled for July 6th.

I didn't get text or email. My status online still the same.

well I know about its validity, and that there is no such thing as waiving of fingerprinting either except for a few exceptions (e.g 75 yrs and older).

BUT, I have read a lot of cases so far wherein they didnt have to go have their fingerprints taken again because of the validity period.. Not as a waiver, rather the use of the same fingerprints from within the 15 months.. There is still FBI check.. they will still use the 80 $ for that i guess.. And with the kind of PARANOID person I am like what one of the members tagged me 3 times, you can expect I'll keep checking on this and if i have to do an infopass and go speak with an IO about this - I will... I cant afford to have this go wrong..Just not the kind of person that will wait and do nothing when I feel something is wrong..

You've read more than I have, then. What I was trying to say was that I have never seen a case where someone applying for an N400 didn't have to do biometrics. Call it a waiver or validity of the previous bio or whatever... I've just never see it happen... but I haven't read every case. I have read dozens of cases where people said that they had done biometrics one or two or three or ten months earlier and were wondering if they would have to do biometrics again. In every case I've read, they eventually got a bio notice.

I hope you get a bio notice or an interview appointment soon so that you don't have to worry. An Infopass sounds like a good idea. Good luck.

Why force something that may not be required of you? The best course of action is to do what the letters tell you to do. Your experience may be different then others because of circumstances (as others have said if your fingerprints are still valid it may waive the fingerprinting a second time).

We are going to do what USCIS tells us to do. if they schedule an interview and don't ask for fingerprints then that is what they want us to do. If they schedule us for fingerprints then we will do them. The Department of Homeland security isn't going to mess this up so just trust the system

Of course I'll do what I'm told to do and not force anything. But I won't sit around wondering, I'll seek for an answer.. I will ask.. me personally wanting to do it doesn't mean I'll force what can't be.. it's a want.. as much as you WANT this journey to end soon.

I know this question was probably posted here already but how long from the biometrics should I expect to get the letter about the interview.

I am in Orlando by the way and I did hear someone say the it might be fast faster this year because there is election soon and they want some voters.

This is my first post into a forum such as this, though I have used them so much throughout my immigration journey in the past and find them so unbelievably helpful.

I have a bit of a convoluted story (don't we all in some way?)

I am Canadian born (citizen) but was brought up in the UK (also citizen). I married my USC spouse in 2008, living in the US. We moved temporarily to the UK for him to study and I abandoned my LPR because it was going to last longer than one year (advised and at my own free will). At the end of his period of study and in anticipation of going home, I reapplied for my LPR through the London Embassy. I entered the US and eventually received my green card at our house in the US.

However, my husband has since been employed with an American company in the UK, and his engaged in foreign commerce between the US and UK. so I have filed my n-400 under section 319(b) which waives the residency aspect. If I am not approved I will have to go through giving up my LPR again, and obtaining it when we aim to move home now in December 2016 (when his employment is scheduled to end).

I filed to the Vermont Service Centre on 24 June 2015 and am yet to have any sort of communication from them. It really is one of the most nerve wracking procedures! I requested my biometrics at the London embassy, and my interview and oath to be on the same day in Fairfax, VA (Washington DC) office.

Have my fingers crossed for everyone!

I'm trying to complete my N-400 Application form, and had 2 questions I was hoping someone can assist me with.

1) Money Order: I got mine from Bank of America and I was wondering if I should put anything else other than the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Purchaser's Name, Signature and Address? I wasn't sure if I needed to write my Alien Number and the purpose of payment somewhere in the money order since it doesn't have a memo like a personal check.

2) Signature: This question may have been answered previously, but hopefully someone will be able to repost-- do I sign it the way I always sign my checks in an "illegible" way or is this simply writing my full name in cursive?

1. There should be a spot to write (not sign) your name on the money order. Place your A# to the right of your name.

2. Just sign your name on the money order as normal. The funds are being backed by the bank, not you. So it doesn't really matter what it says, as long as some form of endorsement is present.

I put my name and that it was for the N-400. I probably should have put my A# on it but didn't think to do so. I also used my normal ("illegible") signature. MO was cashed w/o issue. I did make sure to put my check in the front of my packet since it was not a full sheet. Make sure you take a copy/picture of the check and the receipt. You will be able to use the information on the receipt to check the status of the MO and put a stop payment if the package gets lost.
