Yes there is one more person from Philippines here who submitted it on the same day and i believe they didnt get CC yet. But this is just the height of inefficiency.

I feel as though I get a different response from someone at NVC every time I call. Last time I called, they said a supervisor requested my documents. This time, they say that since the only thing left to be reviewed is the DS-260, an actual supervisor will not be reviewing my documents/DS260 and that there are experts who do this. They just put it in "supervisor review" to let "the experts who review it" know that it should be reviewed.

She then asked me my submission date and I told her July 8 and she said that I'm actually not that far out since they're currently working on April submissions!! -_-

The backlog is supposedly due to the fact that there were technical problems for 6-8 weeks causing a delay in the review and she said she had no estimated time for me even though every other time they said it would be 42 days.

When I told her I knew of people who had submitted their DS-260 in August and had it completed, she changed the topic and said its delayed due to a backlog.

I honestly don't know who to believe every time I call them. It just seems like they're making things up at this point. How is it possible that the representatives don't know the clear process on how things are reviewed when they're supposed to be advising people who call about their case??

How much time they have taken to review documents first time?

Guys i have just received my new scan date...meaning i have to wait again and again and again..im so tired..its another 30 days again

I dont know the time frame but i start calling them after i submit all the financial evidences and civil documents. I cant remember the date when the first time they told me i have to submit my civil docs. Coz i ignore them and i said i have to wait for the checklist email that they are telling me until i decided to send it again coz its like im wasting my time if i still wait for that...u can check it on my signature

Until now i have not receive that aug 10 checklist email..so confusing right? Thats why its good if u just try calling nvc coz if i did not do that, means its like im waiting for nothing

Its not confusing at all....that's why you were supposed to wait and get a formal request before sending anything in. Any time you send docs to NVC you generate a new scan date..Your impatience is causing most of your delays.

just be patient - you may not have to wait that long because you are current...my case was closed very quickly - in about 2 weeks... the same may happen for you.

Unfortunately that didnt happen with me :( i am current but they didnt close and complete my case! i havent called nvc again since the last time. i log into the ceac portal, hoping to find the 3 N/A there..it still shows paid and completed. No email in my inbox from NVC. its so frustrating. I have asked my husband to seek senators help. They are just delaying my case for NO REASON. There is no prob with my supporting docs. And when i received checklist..it was ONLY about IV fees which was not paid due to their website issues. Which is a proof that my case is all good and complete.
I am current. I have waited so long for this but still facing unnecessary delays for nothing :'(

Guys !!! very sad today I received bad new from US embassy.


A person called me and told me: Your visa is already printed, but you must wait 2 month for pick up to US embassy, because we are waiting sputum results from Dr. where you went. I said him: Sir. all test were made, i dont know why long time, this was not mentioned on the interview day.


He told me that i need wait in the end octuber for my passport with visa. it seems like AP after Visa issued.


Anyone knows if it really 8 weeks i must wait?


One of the two test was negative result, just need wait for sputum culture result.

Hey guys! I had my interview yesterday in ciudad Juarez mexico, 45mins in and out very minimal questions asked, was approved he said I would take a week to get my passport back but it's already at dhl will pick it up later on today!

awwww.......Nicalord, sorry to hear this.

I recall something similar happening to a particular user on VJ and if memory serves it was a 8week wait. I will see if I can locate the info.

stay encouraged and try to look on the bright side so you can get through this last leg of the journey. I know this is a great disappointment for you.
