Hey sbai2000

I am actually scared to do that. The waiting time is 60 days, that is what 'they' say but usually it goes up to 70 to 75 days according to the experiences ive read here on VJ. However, this is my option and I will just see this week..plus also depends on the visa bulletin for october.

:( its so bad and frustrating.

P.S i am seeking senators help. Emailed and faxed about our situation. Dont have alot of hope but thought it would be worth a try

Dear don't panic.we waited years its just couple if more months. I'm also stuck at my baby birth certificate in Mexico and passport which actually delayed my case...my baby is nt added yet.Everything will happen when Allah's will. There is something we don't know but He Almighty knows.Do not loss heart.keep praying.please sister it is hard for me too but I believe it's good for me thts why it is nt happening sooner.you Are going to miss ur family so spend time with them when you will not think about it it will happen with the blink of eyes inshAllah...

ladies and gentlemen

quick update sharing my phone call experience with NVC.

I called NVC yesterday and i luckily had a chance to speak to supervisor.( 1st time supervisor on phone) after hard discussion with useless cus rep.

supervisor told me that my scan email which are civil doc and AOS doc. are getting reviewed by some dept. the scan date was 29th June.I should here from them in 2 wks time the outcome of review. but i have sent them all paper work but you never know them.

i have send my child birth certificate already on 9th July, soon after birth as nvc told me to send asap to asknvc@state.gov. once my wife's case is reviewed then they will add my child then they will email me a letter saying to pay 2 fees 120+325. then i have to send them baby's birth certificate and passport copy which is a civil doc, then complete ds260 then finally they will take 30 days to review baby's case. After the review process is over or CC nvc will contact embassy to get my interview date in order the cas was completed then NVC will send me IL.

Do i need to send the Affidavit of support for new born child?

Any one here has done any thing differently or has a clear process in this situation? will be good to share.

and Good luck for interview and congratulation to who got their visas after long long wait. we will get their sooon

thanks.

You don't need to sent a sperate AOS for your baby. You can add babay in the same AOS and just attach of photocopy of it with baby's documents.

You will pay IV fees only for kid.

What us the age of baby??

Thanks qazze , my baby is 1 and half months old.

And I thought as well as They also told me that I have to pay 2 fees. Hope they are not ripping me off by charging unnecessary fees apart from interview fee.

What's your story like?? How old your baby is and how far you with your process.

Hopefully you have already email them/send them a package with your baby’s birth certificate and copy of passport. Soon they will open a DS260 after paying IV fees with 325$ fees.

Then you will send them Original Birth certificate and photocopy as well.

Photocopy of passport.

Photocopy of AOS (in which your baby is already added) Original will be attached with your documents. Yan send both sets of documents in the same package.

best of luck for speedy processing
