i-134 questions

hi, my K1 application has been approved on May 12 after 7 and half months, now i am preparing for the next step.

got question on the i- 134 Affidavit of Support,

some ppl might see my earlier post, i did mention the questions, for 2014, i stay in China for almost 6 months, so my annual income for 2014 are just little bit more than 15k, some ppl told me that will be fine, but others say must be over 19K, i know that over 19K is better, but does anyone can help with the 15K problem?

and i looked at the I-134 form, i see on question 7, " i have a life insurance in the sum of:" . for me , i do have life insurance, if i put it in the form, will it help? or do i have to make a copy of the policy? or do i have to put my fiancee's name on the beneficiary?

Your 2014 total is too short, but it doesn't matter,

since you should indicate the projected income for 2015

as your current salary.

So if you'll make about 15K by end of May, then your

projected 2015 income is 30K.

If it's just 2 of you, and you will make over 20K this year,

then you don't need to include the life insurance info,

but it won't hurt if you. And no, you do not need to show

her as beneficiary yet...because you are not married now.

But add her after the marriage and that'll be additional evidence

for your future filing. And lastly, if you add life insurance,

yes you should send an evidence of that policy.

What matters is your current income. If you make more than enough to meet the poverty guidelines, then you should be fine. Like Duality said, if you meet the income requirements, you don't have to include your insurance, but it wont hurt if you do.

You will write your CURRENT income on the I-134 form, not what is necessarily listed on your 2014 tax return. So if your current income is above the poverty guidelines, no need to list any assets.
