Congrats on your NOA2!!! Sorry about the whole RFE thing. You commented on my post about a month back asking about all the RFEs people are getting proving that the site they met on isn't an IMB. Your advice to me was don't even mention you met online as it isn't required for the petition and that I'd just be risking RFEs and delays. I took your advice along with many others and just mentioned the most recent time I met and saw my fiancee within the past 2 years along with providing proof of that. I also provided some proof of an ongoing relationship by means of more photos, viber logs, skype logs, engagement ring receipt, etc... I appreciate your advice and hopefully that helps me avoid an RFE. Anyways congrats again and good luck on the rest of your journey!

I am a March Filer (March 30th) and I am just receiving the RFE for the IMB thing. I will send in my paperwork today over night. and hope for a fast approval. 30 days would be great!

I've seen them getting from RFE recieved to NOA2 on the "March 2015 Filers" post in 7-10 days at CSC for the same thing. THAT is what is frustrating. :(

I should have added that I haven't seen a wait of almost 60 days after RFE in ANY center, including TSC.

THAT is what is frustrating? I guess it's all about perspective....

I got this response earlier today in my email and suspected by your comments that you are a TSC filer.

It is about perspective, yes. It's pretty annoying to get the RFE in the first place due to the nature of the RFE being for the dating site/IMB fiasco. Not my fault - it's actually a CSC adjudicator error for not understanding the IMBRA law and how it does NOT apply to "dating" sites. The site we met on has been in business since the early 90's and literally thousands of K-1 visas have originated from it. They USCIS should be pretty familiar with them by now.

So, yes it is frustrating to see others that got the same RFE get their NOA2 7-10 days after being received by CSC. The files have already been looked at once before generating the RFE. In the interest of getting files of one's desk and getting completions, one would think that an adjudicator would go after the low hanging fruit and just match the documents needed to complete the file and move to the next one.

Finally, while this thread is not about the TSC issues, it does get old having to hear the whining from the TSC crowd about the time it takes to process the I-129f's. I do understand the frustration, but all one needs to do is look at the data here on the site and see the current processing times. You knew how long the wait time was before getting in the line and now complain its not moving fast enough? Isn't this like calling a restaurant before to go there and asking how long the wait for a table is and then getting in line and getting upset because it isn't moving fast enough, even though they told you up front it had a long wait? Then you further torture yourself by calling the same restaurant across town and finding out they have tables ready in 10 minutes?

So, using the same analogy, it's like sitting at the restaurant and getting your steak cooked wrong. Not my fault, its the chef's. The guy at the table next to me got his cooked wrong too. He gets his back right away and I'm still hungry and still waiting for mine.

Yes, I guess it's all about perspective....

I looked up brett, yeah, wow... 3 months to get RFE...

Granted, I know nothing about his situation...

Still rare though. I mean- 2-3 cases out of many?

This is why I created another thread few days ago asking people to share their stories of success after a long RFE wait- to feel supported and hopeful again.

Your way of communicating is very edgy. So what, you know if a poster with longer wait... Get a prize, I suppose... You win, happy for you. If your goal is to prove me wrong, it is sad- I am not competing.

If you did tell the actual story or shared experience, that would be helpful.

Congrats on your NOA2!!! Sorry about the whole RFE thing. You commented on my post about a month back asking about all the RFEs people are getting proving that the site they met on isn't an IMB. I am glad you did. See? When I posted, I was midway through only...

If I knew...

But I didn't, so I am ok. And certainly glad you could benefit from my painful experience,

Of course, how can anything go by without a bitter post from TCS sufferer...

I wasn't approved in 55 days.

It was 110 days from NOA1.

And comparing TSC and CSC makes no logical sense to those who are waiting. In both directions.

What do you expect with the heading of this post? This place is filled with bitterness and rightly so.

So you waited 110 days? I'm sorry you think that's a long time. Yesterday someone bitterly told me not to complain about waiting 15 months when they had been waiting for five years. So yeah, welcome to the VJ bitter contest.

Congrats on your approval.

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this, but I'm looking for opinions/insight into my RFE.

I received my RFE because of a MISSING SIGNATURE (infuriatingly simple)! My case is being processed by NSC.

11/14/14 - They received I-130 packet

04/08/15 - RFE. Is 5 months before RFE unusual?

04/18/15 - RFE finally arrives in mail

04/21/15 - They received my corrected documents

A month later, 5/20/15, still no response. A missing signature seems like a simple fix.. presumably, my case's approval hinged on it, right? They gave themselves until 6/20/15 to respond, so I'm still a month from their self-imposed deadline. From what I've read on this site though, such a long time is unusual, usually bad news.

What can I do? I've called USCIS before, but all they do is read me my case status, same as anyone could do. Is it possible to get to someone who can give my case a poke and get more information about what's holding the approval up?

Or is a month typical enough that I should just sit tight and wait a while longer?

Couple things and then I'm done with this.

I actually disagree that it's the adjudicators responsibility to know whether the site you met on is imb or not. The burden of proof to prove that we have met and how is on us, not them. They can't know about every site that exists. If they have questions, they have to ask.

And no, I didn't know the wait times were going to be like this when I filed. I filed so long ago that they weren't this different. Tsc wasn't this far behind and csc wasn't this fast. I think the difference was more like 2-3 months not 6.

The restaurant analogy doesn't work. If I called a restaurant and they had a huge wait, I would go to another restaurant. That option doesn't exist in this situation. There are no other ways to have my visa processed.

Did you look at brett40000's profile? My point in providing his name was just to show everyone that the grass is not always greener on the other side. While rare, there are people who have it worse. Same goes for me. Sad to say but my 199 day approval was on the quicker side for tsc side.

Anyway I want everyone to move through this process and get to move on with our lives. I don't like seeing people in pain.
