Obtaining a new driver's license

I have my IR-1 visa approved and stamped on my passport. I am planning to move to the US soon. Can I immediately apply for a driver's license before receiving my GC? I already have SSN and an expired driver's license from the US. As I was in the US before.

Yes, u can. as a rule and I am sure others may or may not support my opinion, especially KDC. But, as long as your i-94 is still valid you can or should be able to apply and receive a drivers license. But, without a GC the validly of the drivers license will expire with the I-94.

Best wishes!
