Hi,

My USA partner received his NOA2 a few weeks back, and the approved I-129F for a K1 visa has arrived at the US embassy in Sydney. He received an email to forward to me asking for my case number and to setup an account on the embassy website.

Problem is, I have no idea what this case number is or when/where I was supposed to get it.

Help!

How do you know your case has arrived at the US embassy in Sydney?

I think after approved I-129F your case will send to NVC first and then you or your fiance have to call there (NVC) for ask what is your case number or they will send your fiance latter and you will know what is you case number. After you know your case number you can check your status in website. It will say At NVC or sent to US embassy in Your country or Ready.

He should have received, or will soon receive an email with your case number from the Sydney Consulate. They may have sent the emails out a little backward.

Once your petition was approved USCIS will send the petition to the NVC usually it takes 2 weeks or more once They get your petition the NVC will create a Case Number and usually mail it to you (petitioner) with the number and letting u know that they will now send it to your fiances embassy! Hope it helps oh and sorry for my bad english! :)

Thankyou! This was indeed correct. NVC had sent the case number out but it took too long to reach us. We skipped ahead and just phoned NVC and they were happy to give it to us that way so we could cut down the waiting time a little.
