We filed our AOS May 16, 2014. We got the EAD in August, and we were given the interview waiver letter too. Because we have not yet received our green card, we applied for a renewal of our EAD in April 2015. Monday we have the biometrics appointment for the second EAD. There's hope that the green card will arrive before he's been here a year, but I don't think that's likely.

3.7.2017     NOA sent

3.23.2017   Biometrics Appointment

2.26.2018   I-751 Transferred to Local Office

3.5.2018     I-751 Received in Local Office

5.1.2018     Case Transferred; Preliminary Review Done; transferred to NBC in Lee's Summit, MO

5.3.2018     Case Transferred

7.24.2018   Joint interview approved

7.30.2018   Green Card received

Naturalization

3.15.2018   Filed N 400 Online

3.15.2018   USCIS sent the receipt

The EAD and green card are processed differently so getting one doesnt mean the other is on the way. They are unrelated. You dont have to carry your passport all the time. You can use your EAD for

We filed AOS in May 2014, and are still waiting. We got a notice of interview waiver which the letter states the wait is 6 months but it is running about 11-12 months. Good luck to you and Jason! Enj

I would say, if your AOS paper work is very good, then a good chance no interview.

EAD/AP in about 60 days from filing AOS, and GC about 70-90 days later.

Good luck, you are just about finished with USCIS for a couple of years.

My wife got her EAD about two months ago and still no word about interview or interview waiver. I think it typically takes about 3-5 months after EAD if you're going to have an interview and around a year if you get a waiver.

Also, I loved you and Jason on 90DF! I wish you two the best :D

There is always a chance of an AoS interview for a K-1 adjustee; this is for USCIS training purposes (so new adjudicators can be trained to recognise both fraudulent and bona fide marriages).

Yes. I did move in the meantime, and I had to get a senator involved to obtain the said interview. And got an RFE there too.

You should be prepared for a wait of around 12 months from filing if you receive the interview waiver. Anything less than that is definitely not the norm at the moment.

I filed 4/14/2014 and my AOS was approved 4/13/2015, the day before my 1 year filing anniversary. That is fairly standard under current processing times.

2013 7/15 I-129F sent, 7/18 received Dallas lockbox, 7/22 NOA1, 10/22 NOA2, 11/15 NVC Case Created, 11/20 NVC Shipped, 11/25 Consulate received, 11/28 Packet 3 received/returned, 11/29 Medical, 12/9 Packet 4 received

The green card usually takes at least 2-3 months after the EAD is issue. In my case it took 6 months

It's currently no longer that fast I'm afraid. GC has been taking around 1 year lately.
