Apply TN while a through-marriage green card application in progress?

I am a Canadian citizen. I married to an American for two years and our application of my green card has been in the progress about 18 months. I recently started searching for a professional job in US and I am going to a face to face interview next week. I was looking for information of preparing an application of TN. Assuming I will secure an offer from the US company, I found myself matching all the qualifications and requirements except one problem: I am in the process of a green card application through marriage. Does it mean my TN application will be denied by a border officer at a very high chance? How could I argue my stay under a TN is temporary? Anybody here has a similar situation?

Definitely an issue, why has it taken so long, 18 months is well beyond normal processing times.

Well, I don't know where we are. My husband filed it and I know his tax was audited since he had to pay more money and some fines. He booked an appointment in the service center in Denver later this May and try to find out what's going on.

It's ideal for me to secure a job before relocation, but it seems like the TN will be really challenge. is longer waiting time of the green card an arguing credit for the TN?

TN is a non immigrant visa, and why would he go to the office in Denver? Would not be handled there.

Tax issue is separate except to the extent he needs to be up to date for the I 864.

Wonder what he has done? Might want to ask him.

A year or so maybe for the whole process but a lot would happen over that time.

In 18 months what has happened in your case?
