We are trying to get my sister to apply for a tourist visa and bring my minor children here. In the DS-160, it is asking" Name of the person paying for your trip"

Should my sister just place her name or my name ( since basically we will be paying for her visa application and plane ticket )

Thanks!

Dhel

Also confused.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You should put the person paying for the trip just like it says. I'm confused why you would put hers if she's not paying for it, what's the reasoning?

since IMHo you can not apply a tourist visa for and in behalf of somebody in the Philippines. I stand corrected if I am wrong.

True, but nothing to do with the question.

Paying for and applying for and in behalf on somebody are two seperate things. She's applying for herself and your paying for it.

so, here's another question. I am not working, it is my husband who is working. should she place my name or my husbands name?

If he is paying then it would be his name.

Keep in mind that your sister will have to prove STRONG ties to her country.

no worries with that, she has regular job ( government) work and she is receiving allotment from his husband who is a seaman. She also has a baby and will be under the care of my parent for the mean time. so she basically has a reason to come back home. She has a letter of employment stating that she is only allowed for a 1 month leave of absence.

my question now is,it is being asked, person/s she will be travelling with. Well, she will travel with my children but will be under the IR2 visa..does she have to place their names?
