Hello everyone..NVC has received our AOS and IV package. However atty said that is possible that we will be asked for ORIGINAL OR CERTIFIED COPIES of all my civil documents and they might insist on receiving them prior to the interview. I mean as far as I have read here NVC does not requiere original documents anymore and I should only take them at the interview. my question is..Is it possible they request original documents before the interview?

She also mentioned she's happy that our case it's moving forward MUCH faster than she expected. whoo whoo! Can't wait to finally be with my Hubby!!

They can ask for anything they want.

I thought it wanted original civil documents with the original petition (since these can be ordered at the courthouse and re-produced). But I could be wrong.

I'd be prepared for them to ask (just in case). It's a good idea to have extra copies of civil documents before moving to the US and for future immigration needs.

NVC does not require original documents anymore, since last year fall (don't remember exact date). You have to bring ORIGINALS to the interview of whatever documents you have submitted to the NVC. Though all documents in a foreign language had to be translated (I submitted them translated by a certified translator). But I also sent a copies of them. I am sure you are OK.

Why would you be singled out. Long as it is a readable photocopy you will be fine and bring originals to interview.
