Would be nice if it progresses at least 4 weeks but ideally I would love to see 6 weeks movement next month and the month after. Scheduling started really early last time. So most likely not next week but the week after we should start seeing sept filers receive their interview letters.

well I hope you realized I was sleeping when I wrote 2018!!!! of course, I mean September 1-8, 2013.

I think the June VB cut off date would be 01 Oct,2013. My only reason for predicting this is the current thrend, maybe it might advance more than 4 weeks but I doubt if it would move only for few days, 8 days movement is never going to happen. I pray it advances beyond 01, Oct 2013. Once NVC starts scheduling we can be able to tell how far it might advance. Good luck to us all.

As a result of the unprecedented action of the VB becoming current back in the summer of 2013, there was a very, very heavy number of applicants from August - December 2013. We are just now hitting that bottleneck.....

So this bottleneck will slow the VB down for the next couple of months because of the number of applicants from September/October. (if you draw a graph of the applicants from that time, I bet you, you will see the curve peak in Sept and Oct months.)

HOWEVER, in addition to the bottleneck,....there is another problem that further exacerbates things; namely, that a certain percentage of those applicants have only just received their NOA2 in the last few weeks and days and their cases have not even reached NVC, talk less of being CC!!!

The only logical way I can see DOS overcoming this problem (assuming, of course, that they care if all the visas from the F2A category are used up or not) is to substantially jump the VB ahead. So in the last quarter of this fiscal year, the VB will at mid 2014 - but it will move slowly for the next couple of months because of the large number of September and October filers.

Brilliant points. Especially when you consider the retardation of the movement from 6 to 5 to 4 weeks in recent months. But truly, I've been on the queue for long enough to think anyone can predict DOS.

How catagory being current increases number off applicants. Bottleneck theory is all wrong because it became current then no movement and then retrogress. It all got corrected now.

I guess there's no logical explanation for any retrogression in next VBs because many applicants had been waiting for over two years. DOS will create new available visas and palliate to any potential lack of visas for f2a. I hope so.
