Can you travel between states with K1 visa?

Hi, folks!

My POE is San Francisco but my fiancé and I plan to secure the marriage license in Boston way ahead of the wedding. This means I would go back to SFO, stay with relatives for about a month until I fly back to BOS sometime before the wedding date. I don't see why this couldn't be possible, but I just want to make sure if this is allowed with a K1 visa. Thank you. :)

yes the K-1 is good to get into the USA. It is not limited to what states in the USA you can travel to, visit or live.

Just like the Philippines you can fly from province to province its the same thing for travel within the USA, state to state. If you wanted to, you could even fly as far as Hawaii even Guam and it would be allowed.

Yes,

Travel all over the 50 states if you like

Probably can't travel to Alaska if driving......

Is it just for k1? How about cr1? Should we wait for the green card?

It the United States Of America, What part of United don't you understand?

You have a stamp in your passport, that is equivalent to a green card, good for a year. You can travel outside the USA and return even.

You have a stamp in your passport, that is equivalent to a green card, good for a year. You can travel outside the USA and return even.

Well I guess Guam and St John are out then as well......

Not for you ;)

But for the K-1 I would never suggest going to Guam or St. Johns until having their green card. Jut saying....

You can travel to Guam w/o a problem as you will fly domestically without passing through immigration. It's when you fly to another country, and Guam is a us territory, that you must have the proper paperwork. If OP has her TD, MC and passport, there is no reason she can't travel to guam.
