Our petitioner is my maternal aunt. We had an interview on 15-April-2015. My father was unable to attend the interview as he is sick. He wasn't medically examined.

The officer asked my mum some strange questions about my sisters. Questions that were related to my aunt were confidently answered.

So now they have suggested us DNA test between my Father and my sister, and my mother and me.

How much time will this procedure take? Do they mostly approve Visa after satisfying DNA test results?

So your aunt petitioned her sister (sister being your mom) and family?

It sounds like the consulate is not convinced the kids of the beneficiary are indeed the biological kids; if so, once the DNA tests come back positive, you should get the visa within a month or so. Though, there may be a secondary isue- if your dad is so sick, he could not attend the interview, he may be too sick to travel, and the consulate could have concerns about if your family can cover his health care once in the USA.

Yes exactly, my aunt sponsored her sister. He was diagnosed with minor Hepatitis A.

They have not returned our passports. Should we take our passports back or leave over there?
