Good title,

It looks like the Navy might have the easiest bootcamp, following the Army and then the Marines. I'm leaving the AF out since we can't join with a 2yr green card.

Which one were you planning on joining?

I think I kind of answered your other question in another thread.

thanks guys.. I have a question, can talk to a

recruiter and perhaps write the ASVAB while

am still on the AOS process?

it depends on.. AF doesn't accept 2 yr green card.

also Army... you should find recruiter who has experience of 2 yr green card person...

most of them will say We just take care of 10 yrs green card person.

you may want to consider also looking at the physical readiness test (PRT) for each branch as well. I know the Marines PRT ( and body fat percentage requirement) is tough flollowed by the Navy and then Army ( have no clue about AF).

It's only the Air Force that currently do (es?) not accept 2 year green cards. The Army recently annouced they are cutting 40,000 people I believe. Good thing about the Armed Forces is that all offere expedited citizenship upon graduation of basic. You need to talk with the recruiter about that option as there is paperwork involved.

http://www.uscis.gov/news/fact-sheets/naturalization-through-military-service-fact-sheet

Naturalization at Basic Training

USCIS established the Naturalization at Basic Training Initiative in August 2009 with the Army to give noncitizen enlistees the opportunity to naturalize when they graduate from basic training. Under this initiative, USCIS conducts all naturalization processing including the capture of biometrics, the naturalization interview and administration of the Oath of Allegiance on the military installation. Since 2009 USCIS has expanded the initiative to the Navy, Air Force, and finally to the Marine Corps in 2013, giving enlistees of these branches equal opportunity to (in most cases) leave basic training as U.S. citizens

Air Force PT isn't too bad consists of pushups, situps, waist measurement, 1-5 mile run. No weight restrictions once you're in. If you can pass the PT test you're good. Not too bad...
