Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 8, 2015
Embassy Review : My spouse was interviewed so I am only writing what she stated:

The following are questions which was asked during the interview:

1. When did you meet your husband?
2. Does he live in Nigeria? Where does he live in the US?
3. Where was he born?
4. How did parents meet/immigrated to US?
5. What is his job?
6. Where is his job?
7. When and where was the marriage?
8. Do you have photos? Asked who were the individuals in the photos
9. How often does he visit? does he come alone or with relatives?
10. What is his email? contact information?

The interviewer is a older gentleman. My spouse said he was a little bit hard. He did not forget anything (asked to see photos earlier in the interview but my wife forgot to show him and he still remembered to ask to see them before the interview was over).

Some questions were military specific like rank, duty station, and branch.

Word of advice: know your spouse (if your marriage is real then you will be fine cause you will naturally know things about your significant other) and stay calm (think positive). Good luck everyone.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
