Recieved visa valid date wrong?

So I received my visa. But on there it says:

K1 PET APPROVED BY USCIS SRC 10JAN2015 VALID 09MAY2015.

Why does it say valid then?

I'm flying out may 5.

It does say issue date 13APR2015. And expiration date 24SEP2015

Feb.23,2018: Mailed I-751 to CSC

Mar. 21, 2018: Received NOA

April.6,2018: Received extension letter 

April.24,2018: Waived Biometrics

Hi Ayla

It looks like your approved petition expires on May 9th, which should be four months from your NOA2 date. Does it match the date at the top of your NOA2 Notice? The visa itself is usually valid 6 months from the date of the medical, but there are sometimes variations to this. It looks like you have between now and September to fly out.

Why does it say valid then?

It does say issue date 13APR2015. And expiration date 24SEP2015 These are dates you should be concerned about!

Nothing to worry about, you are all set to go! Enjoy your trip.

Indeed nothing to worry about. When my k1 was approved it also said something weird but everything was good when I came in the US.
