Update:

Last Tuesday 4/13 I called USCIS and (after 3 attempts) got put through to a tier 2 rep. He was very nice and put in a service request for me.

I just now got off the phone with the NVC and they have received my case and have given me my case number! Finally! The rep was so kind and seemed genuinely excited for me.

I hope that means the rest of you have received yours too! :)

congrats! i believe we're on the same batch. got mine earlier too :)

Just got off the phone with NVC, they still can't see our K1 application.

They could not give us any information on when we can expect a reply to our e-mail we sent to nvcresearch@state.gov

Next call goes to USCIS.

If they can't give us any information, we go to the congressman.

Yeah, I called NVC yesterday and still nothing. It was actually really amusing, wish I could've recorded it and uploaded it to here. Each question the lady asked I already knew it was coming and I had an answer for it too. We both ended up laughing.

As we put the service request in on the 09th of April, we haven't emailed NCV yet. So I think my fiancé is going to do that today! When did you email them? I'm thinking about contacting my fiancé’s congressman if there isn't any news by Friday (which is the 15 days USCIS tell you to wait after you file a service request.)

When did you put a service request in?

I read somewhere, can't remember where, that your congressman won't do anything until you go past 56 day. Is this correct?

Congratulations!!!! :dancing:

We sent the e-mail 5 days ago, so we are planning to wait until Friday. After that, we reach out to the congressman.

I don't know about the 56 day wait, but I assume things won't happen overnight... :(

Got off the phone with USCIS. They said they send out the approved forms to NVC immediately. The operator told us that after approval they have no jurisdiction over the forms so right now we can't do anything.

He also told us to USCIS call back after 90 days passed and if we haven't heard anything still. This statement doesn't make sense to me after he said that USCIS doesn't have jurisdiction over this, so why would I call them back.... anyways, we'll contact the congressman on Friday...

Update on my case: fiancé rang uscis earlier and they said they send out out forms on the 15th of April(6 days after we did the service request)!

I suggest 'waiting' a day or two and speaking to a tier 2 rep at USCIS!! I use the the term wait very lightly as we both no that waiting isn't very nice lol.

If you've just put your service request in 5 days ago, then maybe they'll send it off this week!!

If you don't want to wait by all means contact your congressman as soon as you wish!!

Is that the first time you've called USCIS? Did they put you through to a tier 2 rep? I called them 3 times within 10 minutes of each other and spoke to 3 different reps. They all gave me completely different answers!! It was SO frustrating. Finally I spoke to a rep who was willing to put me through to a tier 2 officer, and he was so helpful. Don't give up if that was the first call you made, keep calling until you get through to someone will give you a somewhat helpful answer.

First time to talk with a rep but yeah I had the feeling he didn't really know how long we should wait so he said 90 days...

We'll try to call them later today to reach a tier 2 rep

They gave me the 90-day explanation last week. Let us know what you find out!

Last night we called USCIS. The first representative lady we talked to was really helpful, she acknowledged our issue and forwarded our call to a tier2 rep. The waiting time on the phone for the tier 2 rep was over 150 minutes according to the automated message, so we didn't hold the line, we requested a callback.

About 3 hours later we received the callback from the less friendly tier2 rep.

He told us what we already know basically, that CSC USCIS gathers the approved applications and submits them to NVC in a bunch. The papers might be stll under transfer. He told us to wait 2 more weeks, then call NVC and if they still don't have our file, call USCIS back.

We asked him to initiate a service request, but he declined the request, saying that we have to wait 2 more weeks and we can only initiate a service request after that.

Nevertheless, I'll call NVC next week again.

I'm pretty devastated but I hope the rest of you have better news. Good luck to everyone.

No, no, no, no!!!! Do NOT settle for a rude tier two rep!!!! You could've initiated a service request like two weeks ago!!! Don't forget my case is ONE day behind yours and my fiance asked a rep to put in service request on the 09th!!!

Just remember, at the end of the day, it's our lives that these reps aren't taking seriously. If we're not persistent they won't budge! I know it's tedious but you have to keep calling and getting transfered (or called back) and connected with somebody helpful!! They can't deny your request to put in a service request!!!

That is ridiculous!!

I absolutely agree. Please call USCIS back and speak to someone different! These people are ridiculous in that every single one of them will tell you something different! It took me 3 attempts to finally get put through to a tier 2 rep to put in a service request. My NOA2 was almost 10 days AFTER yours and the rep had no issue putting in a request for me! The person you spoke to was obviously in a bad mood and decided he wanted someone to suffer along with him.

Don't give up, keep calling until someone helps you. I would try calling early in the day when everyone maybe isn't so tired and grumpy. Howeetest D is right, they cannot deny your request.
