Where does the embassy send it? I am in the US but my fiance is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and don't have P.O.BOX address for mail. I emailed the embassy but no reply from them for three weeks. My case was sent on March 18 and it's been ready since March 24th.

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

Should I tell my fiance to get the medical and police record done in the meantime? or any advice.

I am not sure about the K-1 visa. I thought the applicant had to schedule their own interview for that type of visa

Me and my wife both receive an e-mail from the nvc when they schedule her interview. Neither one of us receive anything in the mail yet

in my Case, the consulate sent me an email Said that they received the approval of I129, and there are attachment of list of document i have to provide including the medical examp, the time line was 4 months for me to go back to them to get the Interview schedule.

Actually before that, i sent them an email asked why i havent gotten the package 3, while my Case says ready. And they Said they did send it by email. But it may went to Junk.

Just send them another email or check your Junk box. It may gone there somehow.

I am from indonesia, maybe every country has different ways of sending package 3.

Mine was sent by email of instruction to prepare all the documents to bring for interview including the medical examp. Once all done I was ordered to send them email to get interview date.

In my country , the emails always been replied max 2 business days.

Did u send it to the immigrant visa unit?

Sometime they hv few email addresses, for immigrant visa unit, non immigrant and consular.

I am sorry I can't give u suggestion whether to get medical examp or not, but as it's written that u need to get medical examp before interview which is the case as mine.

But maybe try send them email again and again..

I kept sending them email twice a week at least to follow up my case.

Don't worry it's ur case and U want them to know that u concern about it..
