i did my biomertric a day before yours, and last week i got a mail told me that my EAD was approved, so hopefully you will recieve your approve notice this week, good luck

Welcome, Thokozile! :) I did my biometrics a week before you. It's good that they already received the RFE. I don't have my EAD approval yet, but I'm hoping for the approval either next week or 2nd week of July. The faster that it will be here, the better. :)

I filed my application on the 14th, the NOA1 date is 04/17. So the 75th day is due today, and I just called to get a service request. I spent a good 15 minutes on the phone, but their system locked up and he said I should call again and talk to a different officer and re-do again. Which is fine, though. I'm on the phone with them right now.

Have any of you guys had any success talking to a tier 2 representative? If so, how?

So I asked about my I-485, and they said it is being processed on my local office, and they are processing I-485 from August/2014. She said it would take another 6 months to process. I think this is bologne a default answer... no accurate at all. The lady on the phone did not let me talk to a Tier2 officer for this reason, since they are still processing August/2014.

They also told me everytime when I called "3" times about not receiving my biometrics app letter after 6 weeks waiting that my inquiry did NOT warrant the request to speak to a Tier 2 officer..they had 30 days to reissue me a new app letter. ..so AFTER 8 WEEKS I called YET again and INSISTED yet again to please talk to a Tier 2 officer...so after begging pretty much she transfered me and the Tier 2 officer said my biometrics app letter was returned to them 6 weeks prior and has been sitting in my file and I missed my original Biometrics app by 3 days !!!!! So now I wait 2 weeks for another date. The officer said that this could've been avoided IF they would've transferred me on my 2 or 3 inquiry! !!!!!

So alright, I just learned something new. There is a topic showing how to get to a Tier 2. Just call the USCIS 1-800 number, and don't press any buttons. Then a spanish-speaker representative will pick up the phone. Then ask "english please", and she will transfer will ask a few questions, and confirm if that's what you need.

It worked for me! But here is the thing: The Tier2 officer just said about my I-131/I-765: "Oh we are still processing February/2015 cases, so you are a couple of months away."

And about my I-485 "No, nothing else is needed, everything going smooth. It is just a matter of time".

Come on now.

I hope so! That would be nice because I have a possible job opportunity. I also need it soon because if I don't get that job, my online profile for the other available jobs need me to check that I have a work authorization on the applications online. I can't proceed unless I have that checked. :(

I just can't directly send my resume. Thank you for the encouragement! :)

I'm sorry. :/ That's frustrating. Most March filers were already approved and some April filers so what was the officer talking about? :) I was on my day 75 yesterday. I tried calling, but I was having a hard time when I had to enter the receipt number. I just sent an online request. I'm not sure how effective that is, but I am just trying to patiently wait right now. Our timelines are close to each other and it seems that we should be receiving our approvals soon. :)

I just finished talking to a tier 2 agent. Thank you, Eddy, for the "trick" on calling USCIS. :)

The agent just talked in English after I asked if I could talk to an English speaking agent. She was very nice and polite and she was apologizing that it was taking a while for her to enter my information. She said that it shows there that they already did a service request yesterday. I asked how long I should wait after the service request is done, and she said "30 days." They should have a reply in 2 weeks, but if I don't hear anything after 30 days, I should call them again. I asked about my AOS and she said that my local office is processing applications from September 2014 and she counted and said that I should expect something after 7 months. Well, it wasn't the best news, but at least they put in a service request for my EAD. :)
