Hi all,

I sent in all my document (AOS and IV package), fee, DS260 to NVC on February 6th. It has been TWO months.

As I am in the Navy Reservist and I am not on deployment orders, Can I request expedite for Military reason? How Can I do it?

Any help is very appreciate! Thanks a lot.

thanks for your answer. Since I am not on the deployment order, is there other reasons can ask for expedite? I saw some perople mentioned ask for a letter from CO could help. is that true?

You can call and ask for expedite.....or submit your documents through email......it has to be a good reason for expedite. It's always worth a try. But it has to be done before they view your package.

What is the military reason if not deployment?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I thought you were given notice? How is your situation different to other people in the Military?

Are you the US Citizen? If not and you are the immigrant in the Navy Reserve you should have filed N400 and N428 based on being in the military, and then they automatically expedite it. While although my wife in the Air National Guard was not able to file while in basic training, she filed immediately after, and 2 months after filing she was a US Citizen.
